SEAOAK is a regional female-founded climate and sustainability consultancy, established earlier this year. We provide support across environmental management and regulatory compliance, climate risk and resilience, sustainability strategy, energy and waste assessments, carbon auditing, and professional advisory services. SEAOAK was founded out of a desire to put regional, remote and rural communities and businesses at the heart of Australia’s decarbonisation, climate and nature agenda. Our mission is to become a leading climate and sustainability consultancy known for making a significant contribution towards a more resilient Australia while maintaining a grassroots approach in all its endeavours. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

​

  • Degree qualified in environmental or agricultural science, or a related field of study

  • We will consider applications with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an environmental or agricultural science-based role, however, we are seeking a senior leader in their field who ideally has more than 5 years of experience

  • Established and strong networks across Australia

  • Strong emotional and personal resilience, comfortable operating and thriving in a start-up environment, comfortable adapting to unknowns and constantly shifting priorities

  • Comfortable contributing to project delivery (with the support of the other two Partners), and an ability to establish solid processes, frameworks, methodologies and templates that will enable us to scale our team when we are ready

  • Strategically and commercially minded - able to contribute to business development activities (proposals, tenders, RFPs, grant applications), as well as contribute to the overarching SEAOAK strategy

  • Financially stable from a personal perspective and able to weather a certain amount of risk when it comes to regular salary / income in the early days of the business

 

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT BEING A PARTNER OF SEAOAK

  • 25% company shareholder

  • A unique partnership agreement that includes the ability to earn income right from the start from projects sold and delivered, until such a point in time when the business is profitable, and Partners can pay themselves a regular salary

  • Working with a team of industry leaders who have already established a strong pipeline of work and strong networks around Australia

  • The ability for you to make this leadership position uniquely your own – choose the hours/days that work best for you, where you work from, which clients you work with, and the consulting services you will be responsible for leading

  • Working day to day with two down-to-earth and driven Partners who are genuinely passionate about nature-positive and climate-positive outcomes in Australia

  • No expectation of financial investment into SEAOAK, now or in the future

 

ABOUT THE OTHER TWO SEAOAK PARTNERS WHO YOU WOULD BE WORKING WITH

 

Ebony Greaves - Partner & Chief Executive Officer (located in the Victorian High Country, mother to a 2-year-old toddler)

 

Ebony is an experienced business strategist who is passionate about working with clients in the agriculture sector to improve farm profitability, productivity and resilience through nature-based strategies, and developing climate resilience and adaptation solutions for regional communities. Ebony is passionate about the agriculture industry, nature-repair and carbon projects, sustainable business and technology advisory, agri-tech commercialisation and scale-up, climate risk, nature-based strategies for climate resilience, mitigation and adaptation, agriculture industry decarbonisation, and resilient businesses and supply chains. Ebony has 15 years of experience and has held numerous senior positions at Deloitte for the past 7 years including most recently a senior leader in the climate advisory and emissions solutions team. Ebony's educational background includes climate science, sustainable business strategy, social science, and UN Sustainable Development Goals.

 

Carli Davis - Partner & Chief Sustainability Officer (Located in Northern Rivers, NSW)

 

Carli is an experienced sustainability strategist with a background in regenerative agriculture. Carli is a passionate agricultural advocate and above all else wants to see farmers thrive now, and into the future. Carli is passionate about regenerative agriculture, hide / beef / cotton traceability, sustainability reporting and carbon emissions baselines, modern slavery and supply chains, reconciliation action plans, impact investment and sustainable procurement, circular economy and lifecycle analysis, B Corp and other sustainability certifications. Carli's educational background includes business, science, permaculture and UN Sustainable Development Goals.
