Sustainability Strategy for an Angus Beef Producer

SEAOAK was engaged by a large Australian Angus Beef Producer to develop a sustainability strategy that tied together existing initiatives and helped the business articulate what they were doing in a more meaningful way.

What we did

We developed a sustainability strategy that tied together existing initiatives and investments on the farm, telling a clearer story about the farm's goals and helping them to articulate this in a public way.

We worked with the agribusiness team to map out current state and establish goals and metrics under each of their sustainability pillars - animal health and welfare, economic resilience, environmental stewardship, and community impact.

Project outcomes
Outcome 1: The farm has a streamlined method for measuring progress and tracking sustainability goals over time, also resulting in a more meaningful way of telling their story to consumers and upstream supply chain partners.

Outcome 2: The public strategy â€‹demonstrates the farm's ongoing commitment to sustainability, making them more attractive to financial institutions and upstream supply chain partners. Transparency is improved for the farm, also resulting in more trust from consumers and upstream supply chain partners.

Outcome 3: By demonstrating what good looks like, the farm hopes to encourage other beef producers to follow in their footsteps and improve outcomes for the whole industry.
